"You have done a fantastic job with our 5 year old and much loved Group 3 winning sprinter, Elnawin, who spent 7 months with you following a knee operation. Having only been given a 50% prognosis of getting back into training, he has made an astonishing recovery thanks to the superb care and individualised therapies he received. He returned to Richard Hannon looking fantastic and, following the first class build up he had received over several months, was fit and ready to go on with straight away. Now just 2 months later he has run twice and won his 2nd race, a hot conditions contest at Ascot, earning a Racing Post rating of 110 in the process. "Back to his peak" said the Racing Post report. "He's a different horse from last year" said jockey Richard Hughes when he came in. "He is now so calm, he settled beautifully and moved like a dream". Everyone involved with his care in training says the same. he has always given his best on the racecourse but staying at Horsehay Farm has relaxed him and made him much less anxious. His knees may not hold out forever but the team have given him every chance to pursue the racing career he loves. I would recommend them without reservation".

"Stuart and I have had horses in training with Mark for many years and have always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the yard. Whatever the result, we have thoroughly enjoyed our racing and this has been entirely due to Mark's invaluable support of our interests.
Mark's knowledge and his assistance in purchasing the store horses were essential to our success and enjoyment. Anyone engaging his help would be assured of his 100% support."

"When my racehorse "Dicky" was sent to Horsehay Farm the outlook was grim. He had been examined, x-rayed and scanned and the intermittant hind lameness could not be accounted for by the local Vets. After Karen had performed her kinesiology assessment (not sure what that is but it worked!) and discussed Dicky with their Vet, Bobby McEwen, we found that the lameness was presenting itself because of a high inguinal twist. This was rectified by Bobby when he castrated Dicky. Karen and her team initiated a slow build-up programme introducing lots of ground and pole work. He enjoyed Essential Oil Therapy for his mental state as he needed to "learn to walk again" without remembering the hindleg lameness. All I can say is we are completely over the moon, Dicky has now won 7 races on the allweather. Thank you all for the whole package!"

"Youlbesolucky went to Horsehay Farm with a substantial tear in his suspensory ligament. After four months of controlled rehabilitation using microcurrent therapy and essential oils his scan showed the tear had completely filled with new tissue, which was differentiating into correctly aligned fibres. My vet said the scans could not have been better. Lucky returned to me in excellent shape physically and mentally courtesy of first-class staff and facilities"

"As the joint owner of Too Forward, I cannot recommend Karen and Mark's services at the Horsehay Farm too highly. Bone chips, dental problems, holes in tendons, back problems, weaving and mental instability have all tested their skills and none have proved insurmountable. Many, many thanks"

"I am very impressed with the professional care and the fantastic facilities at the Therapy and Rehabilitation centre, especially the outdoor post and rail corrals which help to reduce any stress when the horses are on box rest. I would definitely recommend the centre to any owner or trainer."

"I have known Mark for a number of years and always found him totally professional in all aspects. He has bought me 6 horses and and all of them have won - what more can you ask! The horses have won at Cheltenham, Ascot, Kempton and Haydock to name but a few.
I would recommend Mark to anyone who wants winners and who appreciates the personal touch"

"Superb facilities for racehorses to rehabilitate with the various therapies on offer. Professional, caring team. Archduke Ferdinand made a quick recovery after injuring himself at the racecourse and I will certainly use them again."

"Mark would be my first choice for anyone wishing to buy a racehorse. His experience and contacts within the industry are extensive and his eye for a winner is superb. He has trained flat and jump horses himself which helps when looking at 250 horses at a breeze-up sale!!
Mark has bought horses for me from France, Ireland and England so far and I love all the horses he has bought for me, they are all going well and I have some exciting potential for this year. A 3 year old that we bought at the breeze-up sales last year has just won on his 3rd outing which just proves what a good eye for a horse Mark has."

"Fortunately Horsehay Farm were able to take Captain Scott at very short notice as a box had just been vacated. This was a godsend as I needed to remove him as quickly as possible. He was very thin, listless and, as I was horrified to discover when they tested him using kinesiology, he was also carrying a high worm burden. Sending him to an ordinary livery situation just wasn't an option as he needed to go somewhere special so I was hugely relieved they could take him. What concerned me, in addition to his physical condition, was his demeanour. Not surprisingly, he was very depressed and had switched off. But after just a few weeks of treatment and TLC he began to improve and it is now fantastic to see my wonderful horse restored to good health and spirits".

“Even after his broken pelvis had healed “Eric” found it hard to forget the pain and became very depressed and retirement after only three races seemed the only option. It was such a good decision to send him to Horsehay Farm and after a few months of Essential Oil Therapy and box-rest he was well on the road to recovery. He is now a different horse who loves his life and is happy to jump fences with no worries. He has won three races this year and we look forward to having more fun with him next season. I know that it took a lot of patience, TLC and reschooling and we were kept fully informed throughout. We would certainly send another horse to their superb facilities.”

"I used Essential Oil Therapy for a racehorse with deep laceration wounds on both hind legs and which helped to reduce the scar tissue. I was extremely impressed at the speed of recovery and would definitely use their wonderful facilities again."

"My vet had proffered the name of Horsehay Farm when we discussed treatments and respite care of my precious Haflinger following problems with his Suspensory and Annular ligament. Newby was offered essential oil therapy to aid in the reduction of inflammation and stimulate the circulation plus horsewalking exercise each day and massage. In the stable block the atmosphere was quiet and calm and each stable has an outside corralled area, which gives the horses an opportunity for greater freedom but still keeps them in a protected, controlled environment."
It was obvious Newby had a lot of attention lavished on him and was returned to me much cleaner and smarter than he left! We continued with the topical application of the essential oil based gel on his leg and are very happy with his progress.
So thank you for offering such a wonderful service"

"After an operation at the Royal Vet College to repair a serious tear in his deep digital flexor tendon, under his navicular bone, my horse only had a 50% chance of becoming sound again. I started to nurse him at home until I broke my wrist and then it became too difficult for me to manage.
At this point I was lucky enough to discover Horsehay Farm. Reno received kind, professional care which treated his mind as well as his body. I received very regular updates on his progress and treatments. The specially designed corrals which adjoin the stables are safe and were much appreciated by a horse that hadn't been turned out for over 18 months!
He benefitted from good foot care, massage, in-hand grazing and of course Essential Oil Therapy. The essential oil gel that was made up specifically for Reno worked wonders with its anti-inflammatory and cell regeneration actions which helped to strengthen the tendon. With a slow start to ridden work carried out by a very good professional rider, he is now sound and happy.
A HUGE thank you to the team.

We sent Molly to Horsehay Farm because she was suffering from a severe allergy which made her skin so itchy that she would rub herself raw given any opportunity. She had all the tests and treatments that the vet could think of but nothing would point to the problem. She was on the verge of being put down as her life was so miserable with the need to scratch when we decided to send her to Horsehay Farm as an absolute last resort. Molly received Essential Oil Therapy in the form of oils to inhale and lick which helped to cleanse and detoxify plus essential oil based shampoos, washes, a spray and a soothing gel which were used topically. With careful management from the team Molly slowly stopped itching and within a few weeks her itching had subsided and her hair was almost completely grown back. Kinesiology testing revealed which feed to avoid and a change of scene along with a regular routine seemed to break the mental cycle of habitual itching. After a few months Molly went off to a new home and continues to do very well.
